We’re thrilled to announce the signing of American composer Tristan Perich to Erased Tapes. His work is inspired by the aesthetic simplicity of math, physics and code. The WIRE Magazine describes his compositions as “an austere meeting of electronic and organic.” His first recording project with us is scheduled for release in summer 2024.
Announcing Falling Into Place, an original score by Ben Lukas Boysen and Jon Hopkins
The original score for female writer-director Aylin Tezel’s debut feature Falling Into Place will be released in full on Piano Day 2024 via Erased Tapes Music. Ahead of its UK premiere this weekend on March 2 at Glasgow Film Festival, Erased Tapes Music has announced the release of the film’s original score by Grammy, Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize-nominated composer Jon Hopkins and German composer and sound designer Ben Lukas Boysen, featuring performances by pianist Lisa Morgenstern and cellist Anne Müller.

As so many of our minds and bodies aggressively globalise in unprecedented ways, previously fixed “genres” and identities of any kind are constantly being dismantled, made redundant, and born anew. It’s from this space of flux that American composer and vocalist Sheherazaad derives song. Produced by Arooj Aftab, her forthcoming mini-album, Qasr, is set for release on March 1.
