Today Shards announce their new album Byrd Song, inspired by Renaissance composer William Byrd, due April 19 on Erased Tapes. British artist Douglas Dare announces the release of his fourth album Omni. Seen by Douglas himself as a bold rebirth and embrace of the electronic, Omni is all at once a throbbing, avant-garde, queer, dark and cinematic record imbued with a love of rave culture and sense of fearless storytelling that’s deeply evocative. Omni will be released on May 10.

Today, migration seems to be encoded into everyday habits. As so many of our minds and bodies aggressively globalise in unprecedented ways, previously fixed “genres” and identities of any kind are constantly being dismantled, made redundant, and born anew. It’s from this space of flux that American composer and vocalist Sheherazaad derives song. Produced by Arooj Aftab, her forthcoming mini-album, Qasr, is set for release on March 1.

We are enthralled to share the 10th Anniversary Special Edition of Lubomyr Melnyk’s first album for Erased Tapes, Corollaries. Recorded 2012 in Berlin with Peter Broderick at the producer’s helm, and released in April 2013, it brought Melnyk’s lifelong dedication to the piano to new audiences.
